The fall sports season will start off with practices beginning on Monday, August 19. All teams will practice that day. The soccer team will be on the soccer field and players should remember to bring a water bottle and soccer practice gear. All boys in grade 5-8 are eligible to participate. The soccer game schedule is available in the calendar portion of the blog. Volleyball will be in the gym and girls should be ready by 3:45 for their practices. All participants should have a sports physical form turned in prior to practice. Match schedules will be published as soon as they are released. There also will be a sports parent meeting on Monday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
All students planning to play sports or do cheer must have a physical on file with the school before they can participate. There is link on this page to the right which will allow you to download the current forms. One is the physical form that both you and your doctor will need to fill out. The other is a concussion form that you and your athlete will need to read and sign. Even if you child is not planning to do a fall sport or is unsure about playing it is a good idea to fill these out if your child is having a annual check-up with you doctor scheduled. Also, some youth group activities require a physical and I provide them a copy so you do not need to schedule a special doctors visit for those.
