Great Finish to Soccer Season

The boys soccer team finished up the season with one of their best overall games of the year when they defeated the Wichita Home School Warriors 3-2 to claim third the KCAA post-season tournament.The team finished the season with a 6-4-1 record and showed improvement throughout the season. The game concluded the fall sports season. Players only get a short break as basketball practices start next week. The girls will practice 3:45-5:30 Monday and Tuesday and 5:30-7:30 on Thursdays. The boys will practice 5:30-7:30 on Tuesday and 3:45-5:30 on Thursday and Friday.

6th and 8th Grade finish up their volleyball season

The 6th grade and 8th grade volleyball teams were eliminated from the CSAL post-season volleyball tournaments. The 6th grade lost a hard fought battle on Thursday night to end their season. The 8th graders had some great matches but went 1-2 on Saturday to have their season end. They lost a great match to St.Jude but then came back to defeat St.Thomas in three sets and then fell to Blessed Sacrament in a tight three set match. The 7th grade team will continue with their tourney at St. Peter. They will play the winner of Monday nights match between St.Peter and St. Anne. Volleyball Tournaments Begin

The CSAL post-season tournaments got under way Wednesday night. The 6th graders lost their opening match to St.Patrick 2-0 while the the 7th graders won an exciting 3 set match against St. Catherine. The 8th grade begins their tournament Thursday at St. Mary Derby. The 6th graders will play again tomorrow at 5:30 and the 7th grade will have their next match next Tuesday at 5:30. Volleyball Tournaments to Begin

We have received the brackets for the upcoming volleyball tournaments. The 6th and 7th graders will play their opening matches on Wednesday and the 8th grade on Thursday. Final Regular Season Volleyball Matches

The Holy Cross Volleyball teams finished up the regular season with matches on Saturday. The sixth grade team dropped their final two games against SEAS Blue and SEAS Green. The 7th Grade team dropped their first match to St. Peter but rebounded to defeat St Francis. The 8th grade team went 2-1 defeating Christ the King and St. Thomas and dropping a close match to St. Joseph Ost. Post season tournaments will begin later this week. Boys Soccer Goes 1-1 today

The boys soccer game had both an A and B game with Classical School and went 1-1. The A-team went against the league leading and undefeated Classical team and lost 7-0. The B-team then played and downed the Saints 4-3. The boys will next play the Wichita Defenders on Thursday, At the A.Y.S.O field on the west side of town and then finish the regular season up a week from Thursday when they will play Classical at the Stryker Soccer Complex.

Volleyball teams have successful week

The volleyball teams all played well in games this past week. The 6th grade traveled to St. Joe Ost for a match Thursday night and while they came up short in the match they played their best games of the season. The 7th graders won both of the matches on Saturday downing All Saints and St. Margaret Mary. The 8th grade defeated Holy Savior in two sets and then lost two close sets to the undefeated St.Jude team. Photos from the 7th grade matches
